Barn find-might be good, might be so so

Almost finished with the Farber today, put the stem bands on, needs a little touch up with some varnish. Nice canoe, 15', 32 1/4" wide at the gunnels, 13 1/4" deep from the top of the plank to a board laying across the top of the gunnels. Under 60lbs with the #12 canvas. Good wood canvas solo tripper if your into wood.

I got the stem bands on the Chum also, a big day for me...Happy 4th.

my old Chum next to the newer Chum,

I feel like a very rich person with these 3 canoes, life is good.

Yes that is very Huronish and I know for a fact they make decent solos. I also happen to have one. My only issue with it is being a bit heavy for an old lady to lug around on portages. Other than that I like it fine.

It is yellow though.....all canoes should be green.

They look great, Robin. The newer Chum looks much narrower than the older one. I remember we measured them, but don't remember what the difference was. I have to admit, they do look nice and clean without the keel!!!

Those are looking good, I like the Faber too. Your setup will attract much attention I'm sure. Nice old tent, pot of coffee, fine old canoes...
