I don’t watch live TV much because I like to fast-forward through the commercials. Yesterday, I had the TV going while I couldn’t get to the remote, and a drug commercial played. I happened to glance at it and a nice canoeing scene was being shown as background to the side effects. That made me rewind it and play it again. I timed it. The side effects part of the add went on for 33 seconds. The add dedicated more time to the side effects than to the drug’s benefits. Two different canoe scenes are merged for the add while the announcer rapid-fire vocalizes the side effects, which include death. What does canoeing have to do with it? That swelling between the anus and genitals must make paddling uncomfortable!
