Anybody know a source for the aluminum extension used as a keel rub rail on some older fiberglass canoes? This is an early 1960s vintage glass canoe; the strips run from the gunwale at the bow and stern to a little past where this one is broken at the last screw.

The strip is about 3/8" wide.

Or perhaps a modern material like UHMW might be a better choice?

Brass stem bands, 3/8" wide and hollow back, are available from Northwoods canoe. I have bought brass half oval 3/8" from online metals for a little bit cheaper, and aren't hollow back.

Thanks... I looked at online metals but as you say not hollow back and I'd prefer aluminum, but I guess I could use the brass from Northwoods (they have all kinds of neat stuff, there's another rabbit hole I must steadfastly stay away from!).
