I guess the title is a bit misleading since I didn't actually find this in a barn, but in an elderly gentleman's garage where it had ben sitting since some time in 1981, which makes this hull older than me by about 2 years. Now here are a few pictures

i read about this technique and thought I would give it a try on my passage solo build. I was skeptical at first, but after a few passes with the iron over the lightly misted holes, the results were amazing to me. Some of the holes completely disappeared, while most, closed up significantly...
here is something that I came up with for sanding the tumblhome area on my current build.
Made from a scrap chunk of 2x4, a 1/2" thick piece of exercise floor foam (aka Mike Mccrea's magnificent minicel), and a piece of sand paper. All pieces adhered together with super 77 spray adhesive.
