It sounds like this new book will fill in the missing details, like I have seen on his site. Mind you, it may only give them on boats he has actually worked on which would primarily be Canadian W/C canoes. He does have excellent information on specific manufacturers dimensions for keels, gunwales, decks, etc. Could be an excellent resource for restoring Canadian w/c canoes.
I have been saving his blog posts since March of 2010, all good stuff for a Chestnut canoe fan like myself. I'm not sure if I'll buy the book though, especially if it contains the same stuff his blog posts contained.
