Show us pictures of your canoe vehicle with boat(s)

I am lucky, I married just that woman. She is just as supportive of tools also, but I am working on thinning down the tools I own and I don’t do too much buying anymore.
Jim
me too, I think she was more excited about my latest boat than I was, but then I realized that it was because she always took the newer, lighter, prettier boat and left me with my choice of ugly old beaters

My new found Glamping/base camping style of "canoeing" has caused me to reassess my canoe transport method and spend a lot more money, once again.

In this pic, you can see that my old truck bed racks don't really work with the portable Hilton. I had to move the canoe so far forward that I felt unsafe at highway speeds. So once again, I dove deep into the inter webs, researching roof racks for a 2024 Ford Ranger. The result is shown below:

The set up is by Yakima, seems solid enough, took a bit to set up, but so far so good. This spot is in the middle of nowhere on an old forestry road. There is a very good walleye lake just a kilometre away that we fished the next day. Also, it was the first week the fire ban was off, so that was really nice.

OOF. Those ropes in my line of sight would drive me crazy long before I got close to home.

Good that you got out & better that the lines don't distract you. Is there a trip report in the works? (I didn't get out this year (yet), so I'm tripping vicariously)
Many thousands of miles like that (hell, it's over 2200 RT for this one, and that was my 5th trip).

No trip report--lots of lakes, lots of portages, mostly good weather, some not so good. A good time regardless. This was my (expedition) partner's first time in a fast solo. Most of his last 20-25 years has been in heavily loaded 17' PakCanoes. He noticed a difference.

Is this censored because it is a surfski and not a canoe on my car?

Yes, because of the surfski. We try and keep things canoe specific.

Says he who also has an Epic surfski.

Seriously, I think a sufski hull is epicene—it looks like and can function as either a kayak or canoe depending upon whether one uses a double or single blade. Put iakos and an ama on it, and it would be indistinguishable from an outrigger canoe.

How do you answer your wife when she asks, “how many boats do you have?”

That's easy. When an elderly life-long family friend (Bob) wanted to paddle just one more 90 mile race in his home made kayak as he turned 80, but the race director did not want to let him due to health concerns. I offered to accompany him in a suitable solo canoe I longed for, but did not yet have, which was an acceptable solution. So asked my wife if she would like to have a shiny brand new Placidboat Rapidfire of her own. And could I then borrow YOUR canoe so our friend could paddle his last race, she agreed. Our 90 race went well, and Bob was happy.

Years later, when my wife's knees got too painful to enter and exit a canoe, I got for her a (cough) SOT kayak to use at our camp lake. I have paddled the RF as my training canoe until I silently picked up a couple of other solos in the meantime, including a PB Shadow that she secretly ordered for me for our 50th anniversary. Then just this year, our granddaughter wanted to paddle the 90 with me and 2 others of my usual race team. The answer to that was to get and refurbish a used C4.

The answer to the OP's question, by the way, is 13 canoes and just one wife, to date.
