I am lucky, I married just that woman. She is just as supportive of tools also, but I am working on thinning down the tools I own and I don’t do too much buying anymore.

me too, I think she was more excited about my latest boat than I was, but then I realized that it was because she always took the newer, lighter, prettier boat and left me with my choice of ugly old beaters

My new found Glamping/base camping style of "canoeing" has caused me to reassess my canoe transport method and spend a lot more money, once again.

In this pic, you can see that my old truck bed racks don't really work with the portable Hilton. I had to move the canoe so far forward that I felt unsafe at highway speeds. So once again, I dove deep into the inter webs, researching roof racks for a 2024 Ford Ranger. The result is shown below:

The set up is by Yakima, seems solid enough, took a bit to set up, but so far so good. This spot is in the middle of nowhere on an old forestry road. There is a very good walleye lake just a kilometre away that we fished the next day. Also, it was the first week the fire ban was off, so that was really nice.
