This old thread popped up from 10 years ago and it made me wonder how the answers of 2026 compare to the answers of 2016.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ten years older.

Good idea. I've wondered whether the age mix has changed in 10 years. So far, I'm the one octogenarian. Perhaps someone with statistical experience can compare the two polls after a couple of months of responses to the new one.

By the way, I like to have the title of all poll threads prefaced with "Poll:" because most people don't notice what forum threads are in. I edit titles to be structured that way if the OP is unfamiliar with the custom. (Actually, I spend much of my admin time making titles more specific for SEO purposes and moving threads to more relevant forums.)

I wasn't a regular here in 2016, never saw or posted to that thread.

I do wonder how many of the 70's, 80's 90's that were here 10 years ago will be able to update. I know that at least one of the previous "30's" is no longer with us.

you may want to close the old thread to new responses (if you haven't already) to protect the integrity of the results.

Good idea. Never had to do that before. I locked the 2016 poll thread, but I'm not sure that prevents people from voting in the poll. The best I could figure out from the poll editing feature was to close the poll in one hour.
