Looks like the 1st powerline south of the Rte 56 trailhead. (my kids loved the tunnels through the Laurel on that section)
It is indeed. A group of us hiked from Route 30 to the northern terminus. Rhodo tunnel is still there.
I’m also in Southwest Michigan. What waters are you on?
I got a little artsy tonight with this Great blue heron, that was having a bad hair day.

For those not in Florida, the babies make the cutest little chirping sounds, sounding almost like birds.
My younger brother is both talented and retired, which leads him into all kinds of projects and directions. Some practical, others less so.
Not quite sure where this one fits but he is having fun with it. He started making these beer candles and sitting them on "paddles", like you would sample "flights" of craft beers in a brewery. I light up one of these on the back porch in the summer from time to time.

Panther tracks on my access road:
Wild turkey tracks at the same location
I know they were less than 24 hours old because I had driven in late the day before.
No signs of a confrontation or a flurry of turkey feathers, but it is hard not to surmise one was following the other.
You just have to trust me on the panther track. The fine shell sand does not hold the print well. I had the luxury at looking at and piecing together many tracks.
