Great stuff! You can realize an amazing amount of fuel savings by utilizing a coozy for your food/drinks to simmer in….not necessary for a day or weekend trip, but if you are out 5 days, a week, or longer, it helps. I made my coozies out of the reflectix windshield sun shades that you can find in most any auto parts store, Walmart, or dollar store…….I made a pouch to fit single size boil in a bag dehydrated backpacking meals and then larger coozies to fit my most frequently used pots…..
I typically use an old Kool-Aid container for a bowl and use an old blue foam pad for the insulation. Here are a couple of variations I've tried over the years, including a Titan Kettle, and some thinner green foam.
