Black Flies

We're used these for years with great success, with no need for any other repellent in camp.

I just tried one of the repellants with Picaridin and found it didn't help me at all. It might be me but I got no relief, especially from the mosquitoes, while using it. As for black flies, at least they have enough manners to crawl back under the leaf litter at night. That allows for hours of relief and the opportunity to enjoy the stars and an evening campfire. Bottom line, I'll take black flies over any of the other flying critters any day of the week; of course, your mileage may vary
