I picked this up last year from fellow Member Paddlin Hal, it needs some love.
Thanks to some Gflex, TotalBoat Total Fair and that flat sander a 1/4 sander and 100 grit I think there's some life left in the old gal.
I’ve been trying to get things done with the Sprit II, lots of interruptions. The Total Boat “TotalFair” really smoothed things out, along with some glazing putty. After two coats of Interlux “Pre Kote” primer it’s almost ready for paint.
The green Chestnut Cruiser is also ready for paint, along with the white primed 100 year old JR Robertson.
First coat of dark blue Epifanes paint on both canoes, the Kevlar came out much nicer than the canvas covered Robertson. Even with the two coats of primer, canvas always need 3/4 coats of paint, at least in my world.
Next, I’ll flip the Wenonah over and sand and paint the interior.
The Robertson will get sanded with 150 grit before the next coat.
