Yea I’m almost always solo, but on that trip my brother and sister-in-law came along. My Brother took the picture.

Wrist Lake, Woodland Caribou PP, northwest Ontario, wind bound and drying the canoe. I had restored the canoe and used lightweight #12 canvas thinking of the weight savings, but it didn’t hold up to tripping in this case and it developed a leak, plus it had rained hard in the approaching storm.

I spent my recent birthday doing some canoe surfing on Kuaii. I’ve been blessed to hook up with local paddlers on poi pu, my favorite beach. They are not only paddlers but trippers and builders.
