When you can't have a campfire due to severe drought conditions

Here in LA, if it's that dry, it's often so hot I don't WANT a fire... in which case I usually just lay in my hammock and read.

But I also have a Nimblewill Nomad stove (the original, free/public emberlit) that I made for use in just those conditions... it only weighs about 11 oz, and I use it mostly for day hikes or hunting, to heat up my lunchtime tea/soup/cocoa. A lot of the land I hunt/wander is fairly dry. It's too easy to start a forest fire, and so easy to cook on the stove with a handful of twigs, that it just makes sense for me to use it. and it makes a nice 'campfire' when I'm too tired to cut wood for a real one.
