VIDEO: DIY Coffee Concentrate for Camping

This is how I make my coffee these days and what I'll take on my next canoe trip. So far I've only taken it car camping but I have no doubt it will keep just fine for a canoe trip.

I have used commercial concentrate and like it. No grounds to pack out!

Interesting... I don't know that is simpler, it is sur not lighter than ground coffee. I can see that it is cleaner, no wet grind to deal with!! I really like my french press

We have a commercial concentrate at work and I quite like it.... especially compared to the sludge people used to make with the grounds.

The nice part is that its virtually instant coffee once its made. Put some in your cup add hot water and its ready to drink, no dwell time. Its definitely not lighter but it gives me a more consistent cup of coffee vs when I would make cowboy coffee.
