I'm talking paddling or camping gear, of course. Or, even, fitness equipment, if it's for staying in shape for paddling.

Nothing. Like, truly nothing; fitness or otherwise. I already have too much stuff of my own and buying Christmas presents that early would involve planning ahead. I work best under pressure anyway so I started Christmas shopping around the 17th.

I probably spend more that way but I don't ever shop; I just buy.

Glad that this has not spread worldwide as big as in the us. Altough yearly it seems to get bigger over here as well. Last investment in canoe / outdoor was last week. The left blade is new to me. It is huge. Not sure what my plans are. It was to close and cheap not to purchase it. I did a short test paddle with it. It left me wondering....

I bought a new IK before Thanksgiving, but I'm counting it as a Black Friday sale.
I took advantage of some holiday deals on exercise equipment.
I was tempted by some other great bargains, but I have way too much gear already.

Nothing. At this point I purchase what I need when I need it instead of waiting for "deals" or special days. My birthday is in April and Christmas in December. That's a long time to wait for something if you really need or want it. Just saying...

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

I went nuts. Absolutely squirrely. Not because of any #Blackfridaylabourdayboxingdaysenior'sdayseizethedaysusandey thing.
I decided to follow wherever my mood took me, and it took me to a guilt-free place normally inhabited by shopaholics. I felt out of place,
a strange animal there, so i didn't stay long. Just long enough to ding my plastic. Some things were on sale, some not. Whatever.
Sleeping bag liners (2). Not a big investment, and not sure I'll like a flimsy layer to wrestle with.
2-Layered waterproof shell parka. Because I gave my adult gson my first (new) one, because he showed up cold and wet one day.
Leather axe sheath. I'm never gonna get off the lazy couch to make one, so I supported the local economy.
Swedish axe sharpening stone. My old stone is worn, so I spread my loonies a bit further.
Paint, stain, sealer etc. Our 2 yr old gson acquired a tired old toddlers paddle needing some restoration. Grandpa's on it.
