Pillows

I use an REI nylon stuff sack that is fleece lined. Use it for some of my clothing and then turn it wrong side out to expose the fleece and put the clothes back in to make a pillow. Gave my first one to a grandson because I thought my camping days were over but I got going canoeing again and found one on Ebay. I have no idea why they discontinued it since it makes sense.

I jokingly bought my wife a "princess pillow" about 15 years ago. After trying it I ordered them for the rest of the family. I've tried a few now and can say that if you're a big guy and have broad shoulders the MEC deluxe in large is excellent. So good I ordered a spare when it appeared MEC might be in trouble. They are inflatable with foam chunks on top. For me they work better than the Nemo offerings my wife and son have.

In the never- ending quest for comfort, I've tried all kinds of things but finally settled on some polar fleece clothing bags my wife sewed up. they're the REAL -20 Polar Fleece, not the cheap stuff, so dense enough to shed water- as long as a down vest or wool sweater is up they're actually better than my pillows at home
