We have small tides here on Nantucket. I launched a little after the low-high-water (the lesser of the two high tides each day), which was about 3' on this particular day. When this photo was taken, the tide was going out and might have dropped to about 2.5'. By comparison, the high-high-water that day would have only been about 3.5'. This particular creek is navigable down to about 1', but I try and avoid dead lows, especially in a long boat like this because you end up paddling in muck and its no fun. Open water is where this boat shines but the drone operator bailed before I made it that far. I hope to send a photo surfing a ferry wake later this season! To date, I've only used the weed-rudder, not the larger surf rudder.Just curious, Steve, how high a tide was that and have you tried both rudders?
