Not so much for black flies, they seek white whenever possible.

My neighbourhood is on the current "black" (often a very dark charcoal grey/black) trend, every reno in the area ends up with black siding, roofing and trim. My neighbours probably can't stand my red siding and light grey roof!

That would look really sharp with that gear. Maybe add a black Tesla Cyber truck. Very slick and ever so early 2020s. Black could become as distinctive as yellow shag.

I have always found black flies attracted to black almost as much as to navy blue. Sand flies are the worst.. they love blue.
