Ash paddle

This is a big ash paddle. I saw it at an antique store today and apparently it just came in. I have no affiliation to the seller or the store but I can help someone else own it if they are interested.
It’s looong 78” long and the blade is 30” long. I neglected to measure the width of the blade so your guess is as good as mine.

It’s in very nice shape. The dealer is asking $95 plus tax
If anyone is interested I would not mind getting it and holding onto it till we can figure out a transfer. Maybe you are coming to Maine this summer.

First off, what is it? Over thirty years ago I was introduced to paddling a canoe standing up with a six foot paddle. The guy who introduced me to it had been a Maine guide, so I had assumed a Maine Guide paddle was a six foot long beaver tail, like what he used. Fast forward about 20 or 25...

That’s a nice paddle Jim. I’d have a hard time passing it up for 95.00. Although I never used a 78” I don’t think it’s too crazy long for a standing. It looks like an upgrade compared to my 72” ash Maine guide paddle.
