Just after sunset on Lower Jo-Mary last Wednesday, looking west from the beach campsite. Not pictured: my dogs staring at me and thinking, hey two-legs, what’re you doing, don’t we need that thing?

Some family chaos on Canadice Lake back in August. We brought the Curtis Northstar up to paddle at Hemlock’s demo night.

My father built a canoe when I was four, and another a few years later. I have great memories of those boats, learning to paddle, seeing my little brothers sitting in the middle as I had. Glad to see you're starting them young.

Camping on the Canadian Shield earlier this month. Little Tupper Lake, Ny. I just read that the Adirondacks are part of the Canadian Shield and not the Appalachians, geologically speaking.

Thanks Robin, I was going to head back up there today for a few nights, but do to circumstances beyond my control I had to cancel another trip.
