We’re contemplating a BWCA trip in two weeks. Glad my dog is a laid back canoe veteran.

Thinking about leaving the double blade at home. The single blades are definitely easier on my hands. Hands are my weakest factor this year. I’ve been testing various compression gloves and braces. Found some NRS neoprene paddling gloves that allow my hands to grip and roll naturally. Sized them down to help with compression. I can add wrist wraps if necessary. REI has them for 30% off if you’re looking for a supportive glove.

Also been doing short portages with a pack and sundry gear. My food pack is right at 35 lbs. Meals will be mostly dehydrated and dried stuff.
