I’m restoring a Spirt II for my son, I would greatly appreciate the specs on seat/thwart placement and also seat height.
Thanks in advance.

The stern thwart is 30.5 inches from the center thwart on center. The bow thwart is 29" from the center. The stern seat is 24" from the stern thwart. My boat has a sliding bow seat so I don't know about that.

If I were to redo mine, which I hope to do, I would move the bow thwart to the 30.5' mark to match the stern one. I think I would also move the stern seat back to where it would have been on an old w/c canvas boat. I'd probably put the bow seat just a few inches ahead of the bow thwart, but all that is up to you. I'd be curious to know what the measurements are in one without the sliding seat.

Thanks Al, unfortunately the center thwart will be the last item put in place, after everything else is. (carry thwarts, seats and other thwarts), then I’ll find sweet spot (balance point) for the center thwart (aka carry thwart)
Hate to be a pita, but could you just send the measurements for each seat and rear thwart measured from the tip of the bow to the front edge of the seat. The measurement for the sliding bow seat can be from all the way back, I’ll adjust as needed.
I really appreciate your help my friend.

I measured from the tip of the decks as in the photo. The screws on the stern thwart are 72 3/8, the leading edge of the stern seat is 46 3/4. The bow thwart is 75 1/4 and the sliding seat goes from 58" to 38". FWIW the center yoke screws were 104 1/8 from the bow and 102 3/4 from the stern.IMG_3570.jpegIMG_3572.jpeg

Hopefully someone will respond that doesn't have the sliding seat because my gut feeling is that it would be different. I would move the front thwart forward. It would give you more cargo space between the thwarts and there will still be plenty of room for the bow paddler.
