My wife and I went out to dinner last night with my sons father in law. Nice guy, long time friend, politics are wrong and big time kayak-er, but we have always hit it off well in spite. His newest hobby (kayakers are always into something new) is wood working. I told him I had some cedar to rip into tapered ribs and he actually understood what I was talking about, he understands all that stuff about tapered gigs and such...lucky me. At $3.00 a board foot I'm really afraid to learn how to cut ribs for an old canoe.
