I save weight, money, space and will always have fuel as I purchased a Solo Stove for my bro and I. We take these on trips with long carries. These stoves aren't as convenient as gas as they need constant tending. You just have to plan on how you are going to make your meals. When it is raining I use Coughlin fire starters, alcohol tablets or hand sanitizer to get the tinder started. For easier trips I bring my Jet Boil and my Markhill canister stove.
