We're becoming a canoe family. I'm a backcountry guy with experience backpacking, climbing, elk hunting, and fly fishing, and I've decided canoeing is one way to do wilderness trips with a wife and two little boys (4 and 7 years old).
We're rigging a canoe and planning to canoe at least three rivers this year: Lower Gunnison from Delta to Whitewater, White River from Rangely to Enron, and the Colorado from Fruita to Westwater. I love to camp and hike and anticipate some fun exploration on those trips.
