Heads Up: Bad Seller

I just received a barrel purchased on Facebook Market place, link posted below. It arrived missing a gasket. When I called the seller, he said: "I get calls all the time from people who say they didn't receive a gasket. They don't know what they're talking about."

I told him I was holding the lid in my hand and there definitely wasn't a gasket in it.

"Well, what do you want me to do?"

I told him to mail me one.

"The only way I can do that is if you send the barrel back and then I'll send you a new barrel."

Yeah, right. I would recommend avoiding this one.

That's too bad. Does FB Marketplace have a complaint and refund process like eBay does?

I have a vague recollection of someone here posting about buying (or making) new gaskets for barrels because theirs were degrading and smelling. Here it is, post #64 by @LanceR in a long thread about deodorizing used barrels:
