Grizzly Bears versus a Campsite

Found this interesting video.

A Montana zoo sets up a fake campsite inside a grizzly bear enclosure to show what happens when you leave food laying around your camp site.

The short version: to a grizzly bear, everything is pretty much food.

I noticed the video mentions that the small bear proof containers used by hikers was no match for the grizzly bear. Maybe it works better on black bears???

Anyway, enjoy the video and take from it what you want. I just wanted to share my find.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the video. Watching those bears going at it was impressive, especially when you consider how much faster they can go when they are really trying to cover ground.
I'd suspect that once a bear found something worth eating in your campsite he'd regard any human in the area as somebody trying to contest ownership with him. Not really a contest that I'm up for!
