I like the D-rings on tabs. I think they are nylon or some other strong/tough polymer. They fit just fine between inwale and hull on my Bell Merlin II.

When you put the tabs between the hull and the inwale is there a noticeable gap or did cut a little space to fit the tab that the crew goes through? I really like this idea.
