I was on a different section of the Paw Paw yesterday. Had to wiggle around some fallen trees. Pulled over in a secluded spot and ended up seeing the remnants of some kind of old water pump or irrigation system. Most likely more than 100 years old...put together with square head bolts. One pic shows a wheel that may have powered it. Went about ten miles total (5 up and 5 back) and spent 4-5 hours on the river going slow and enjoying it.
