A perfect route for experiencing the region in full-on outdoor mode."
Just a heads-up that you might want to check this link. I don't read (or speak) French Canadian but the frownie face suggests that it doesn't work as intended.

PS: The last one works & good holy moly... $110 a night for a "canoe camp adventure"... I'm out.

I don't even care if they cater the meals & sherpa the poor-tah-jez. Ontario Crown Land for me.

I guess I saw the "convenience packages... starting at..." while scrolling & tapped out early (those prices will do that... I'm frugal). I actually would like to try some Quebec trips except that I don't speak French and my understanding is that you need to have a set itinerary and reserve sites in the Sepaq managed parks.

I've still got lots of Crown Land routes in Ontario & Manitoba that I want to get to so, maybe someday but if not, that's OK too.

Heading to La Verendrye for 5 days in August. $201 total for 3 of us.

It's a good idea to reserve...but I have just shown up and picked a route in the past.

They ask that you stick to your route and stay only one night at your campsite ( first come, first served).. but that's all the oversight that you will encounter in the reserve.

If you go out on the Cabonga you can go any direction you want but it's a good idea to follow the mapped routes...over 4,000 kms of shoreline and countless islands.

Bring a compass.
