Great to hear you guys had fun, Coldfeet is something special and I know Algonquin will never be the same...haha

Nice YouTube channel, good enough I subscribed !
 Thanks !

Bio, now that you have conquered Algonquin, can a winter jaunt be far behind...?

Absolutely! (I hear you on that for sure...) I did remember you mentioning that interest and need in a WT post a while back .. gotta go to Canada and experience the real deal.

Great trip Bioguide! Or should I say "Chef Bioguide!" Buckwheat pancakes the size of a frisbee! Plus Sausage and egg omelet! 7 days of fun and great journeys all over. Weird to say it but I'm glad that my knees are sore and I'm out of shape because then we get to portage slow, paddle slow, explore areas very slowly and see more! I was a good boy and did some journal writing. I will post it soon and get pictures up in the next few days. Looks like I'm at the opposite extreme and have to go into NYC tomorrow for a school workshop. Good news is that I will get to see my mom and help her out.
This was a great journey and so many people on this site and others were helpful, big thanks. I hope to be able to give back to the community one day. talk later.

Bioguide - Thanks for posting your video. Unfortunately it seems to be breaking up but I'm pretty sure it's on my end and not Youtube. The same thing happened yesterday when I tried to watch Robin's posted video. Eventually it came around so I'm hoping the same thing will happen with yours. Can't wait to see it.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

Enjoyed your video...especially your comment on the Double Devil Staircase. Sorry about the size of the fish, but Algonquin does get a whole lot of visitors. Nice job on the temporary repair by the way. I don't know much about modern lightweight packboats but should the center thwart have failed that easily? Is it only glued in without any hardware?

Thanks Murat V. The fishing will improve in Part II... Yes, the thwart is only glued and I did fall against it fairly hard. I plan to have the thwart repaired properly and will add some small D rings both to the inside and outside where the thwart meets the gunwale's to use in case of any future field failures.

But Plexus is some strong glue. Something went wrong here. I fell with pack on my thwart in my RapidFIre and the thwart broke. The Plexus held. I had to do the same as you but it was hard as my broken thwart was right in back of the seat.

Plexus isnt just glue.. Plexus your fingers together and see me in the morning.

I'd take the boat back to Joe with video proof.

And I would think long and hard about d rings along where your paddle might hit. I have padeyes for my spray cover and am often knuckle bashing.

Thanks YC, It will go back to Joe for repair and the D rings won't interfere at all with paddling. You might notice that my first repair attempt the hemlock branch had at least an inch overhanging the gunwale which didn't interfere with double or single paddling.

We caught 3 nice fish on Louisa this summer I was surprised to see the ones you pulled out, no luck elsewhere.

An Algonquin Park Canoe Adventure (Part II)
After recovering David’s gear from the Yellow Jackets we continue on our adventure. In Part II we encounter even more of the parks wildlife, enjoy “cold handle” frying pan meals, hold a “fireside” chat, discover exactly what the “Devil’s Razor” is, and we end up being escorted out of the park by an asylum of the parks summer residents. I also have an unexpected visitor surface within feet of me while swimming in Big Porcupine Lake and the fishing improves in Ragged Lake.

Nice video, the opening map was pretty impressive, David's description of a family of Loon's was classic David " There was a mother and 4 ducklings", plus he made friends with some other NY'ers, looking forward to part 2....nice fish btw.
