Bio, now that you have conquered Algonquin, can a winter jaunt be far behind...?
Enjoyed your video...especially your comment on the Double Devil Staircase. Sorry about the size of the fish, but Algonquin does get a whole lot of visitors. Nice job on the temporary repair by the way. I don't know much about modern lightweight packboats but should the center thwart have failed that easily? Is it only glued in without any hardware?
But Plexus is some strong glue. Something went wrong here. I fell with pack on my thwart in my RapidFIre and the thwart broke. The Plexus held. I had to do the same as you but it was hard as my broken thwart was right in back of the seat.
Plexus isnt just glue.. Plexus your fingers together and see me in the morning.
I'd take the boat back to Joe with video proof.
And I would think long and hard about d rings along where your paddle might hit. I have padeyes for my spray cover and am often knuckle bashing.
We caught 3 nice fish on Louisa this summer I was surprised to see the ones you pulled out, no luck elsewhere.
Better luck in Part II. I'm sure if we stayed a couple of days on Louisa it would have gotten better.
