Wow. I can't see the pictures because Fakebook has decided that I won't drive that far (probably best if they don't know me better than that) but it would have to be pretty rough to be worth less than $500.

That’s a nice little canoe, I have a replica built from the lines of an original Chestnut Fox but would really prefer an original.

I didn't know that the Fox had a keel (granted, I do not know much about older wood/canvas boats). Was that an option, or was it standard?

Indeed. I could manage the time but the distance is problematic. I suppose I could find an OTR driving job & toss it across the front of a flatbed. Seems like a lot of trouble to save a buck on shipping though.
On the other hand, it would be a cool addition to the "show us your boat hauler" thread... hmm...
