Potentially promising canoe boots

today I noticed a couple new boots soon to be released from Lems that certainly piqued my interest:

Lems Tactical Pro Tall Boot

Lems Summit Pro Boot

I was looking at these boots again the other day and noticed the Tactical boot does not have a full leather upper (transitions to nylon above the ankle) so that rules them out for me.

I think I'll get a pair of the summit pros whenever they become available. Smaller sizes became available in the last couple days. Website says sometime in January for next restock.

You should definitely report back. I don't mind the nylon over the ankle, so I'm looking at the Tactical Mids if my Altra Timp GTX don't hold up to the (admittedly lame) winters here in SE PA. Unfortunately for my bank account I don't find regular fit shoes/boots comfortable anymore, so options are limited.

I've been wearing the Vivo Forest ESC for the last couple fall/winter/springs with good luck. They're comfortable and have held up well. I wear them down to around zero, sometimes a little below that. When I'm out in them I'm not stationary, otherwise they wouldn't be warm enough. They have no insulation but I haven't found that to be an issue in winter until I gets below zero. Insulated boots invariably cause my feet to sweat and then they feel colder than non-insulated boots.

They might struggle more in milder weather with wet and slushy snow as they don't have any water repellent liner (my preference).
