I have been cleaning up my canoes recently, varnish, new paint and new spruce gunnels. I even was able to fix a slice in the canvas to my square stern. The weather here in Maine has been great for painting and varnish and I have a couple of trips planned, so It’s a busy time.
I even made a new smaller grub box, getting too old to carry anything bigger anymore.
Finished painting these two, a hundred year old JR Robertson on the left, a Wenonah Spirt II on the right. They will get finished after the paddling season is over

New varnish on the gunnels for the 14’ Fox

Fresh paint and outwales on the Chestnut Cruiser,

12x12x18” grub box, just big enough for some gear but not too heavy!
