"The Portage Project": a team of women battle the wilderness

David Lee has scores of excellent videos on YouTube, mostly about wilderness canoe trips but also backpacking, snowshoeing and winter camping. Among his videos is a two-season series of videos called "The Portage Project", which features a team of women tripping, portaging and dragging open canoes in the Canadian wilds.
