Spent 10 days in Jasper AB last June. Picked this book up from the store at Maligne Lake. Really a good read.
The true story of David Thompson, fur trader, explorer, surveyor and cartographer. Amazing what he accomplished. He charted the entire length of the Columbia River among other feats. He was a true explorer and never really received the credit or accolades as many of his time. Great read!
