I have miles of paracord I sometimes use for tarps etc. My paracord and rope often comes in contact with tree sap. Balsam sap blisters are the biggest culprits, and I try to avoid these trees, but sometimes I have to use whatever trees are there for rigging tarps etc. This may be common knowledge for some, but it's new to me, apparently alcohol based hand sanitizer works for dissolving tree sap from fabrics. I'd test it on tarp, hammock and tent fabrics carefully before using there. I take hand sanitizer for hygiene purposes (makes a good fire lighter too), so it might be handier than I realized.
