Looking for the best way to repair wear on the bow/stern of my Duck Hunter. Skid plates are an option, but what are some other options? Whatever I would like to match the original olive color.

Thanks,

JDG

A couple layers of S-glass would be good. A layer of Dynel would be better depending on how rough the hull is being treated. Use peel ply on either one to help with a smooth transition to the hull. Either can be painted afterwards. There are some great tutorials on this site. These are the first few I found but I know he had one that was a little more exhaustive:

Another good one:

I have switched, from Kevlar felt, to Polyester Fleece.
Yeah, Poly doesn't wear as well as Kevlar, but it wears better than regular glass.
The thickness of the fleece will add years of wear.
Polyester fleece ( Sweat Shirt Material ) adds thickness, that can be sanded.
It is available in many colors.

I have used it on all my composite builds.
