Repackaging Frozen Meals

I have several dehydrated meals that are not vacuum packaged, but kept in the freezer. Can these be repackaged without thawing?

I keep dehydrated mixed veggies in the freezer but for best results you should pop them back ( not in the bag) in the dehydrator for a while.. In the freezer they do collect ice crystals. How old? if they are old they pick up off odors.

I find that about a year in the freezer is the limit with home dehydrated food in double sealed zip lock bags. Off flavors, not really a fresh taste occurs at about that point and later. Definitely test before heading out on an important backcountry trip. I've thrown out tons that didn't pass the test.
