FlashFIRE is a symmetrical David Yost design with above waterline flare carried to shouldered tumblehome; yielding a dry hull with firm final stability. Significant rocker allows Flash to flat turn and increases speed while arched stems help tracking. The small hull reduces skin friction, and allows Flash to paddle with little effort kneeling on a high seat with a single blade or as a pack canoe; sitting low with a double paddle.

I trip in my colden flash. perfect for narrow twisty streams like the Osswagochie in the ADKs.

See post 2. Some folks DO trip in Flashfire. Dan Cooke being one

If that's more or less a consensus I guess I'll go with it. I just need to work up the nerve to actually do it. I've been mulling this over for months and keep backing out.
