Picked up a tent today and going to CUT IT UP

Picked up a new Hillery 9x12 sears tent today for 9 bucks and thinking of cutting it up and making a small lean to tent any ideas,with STEEL polls it is way to much to put in the boat also came with a nice bag

Maybe you could set it up in the yard and with a sharpie outline where you want to remove fabric.

Are you able to sew up frayed edges ?

I took my 8x10 canvas wall tent and cut it down to about 7' wide to 6' deep and dropped it down by about 2'.

Like latremorej suggested, I set it up and marked the sections I wanted to remove, then cut it up. I bought a used sewing machine cheap and I watched some youtube videos on sewing and learned on the fly.

Also if any is in Nashville area they can have it for the 9 bucks I paid for it
I don't think it is very going to be under 100 degrees and 100 humidity in nashvoille...come on fall
