Great photos. Some of the best I have seen anywhere. But I have a question. If you are a knowledgeable paddler, and especially if you have a wood and canvas canoe, why would anyone land it straight into shore (perpendicular). I always land parallel to shore, which supports the boat. Very important on rough shore lines with loaded boats.

I don't see any of that. The boats have been unloaded. It is often easier to do one end at a time while supported on relatively firm ground and pull it up on the bank especially if the river bottom is mud.

What great pictures!!!! Maybe someone could make a calendar which we could sell and use as a fund raiser for the site. Just a thought
