Hello everyone
Chad here from south Georgia down by the Ohoopee and the Altamaha rivers.
My wife and I are avid hikers and campers and love to canoe. We are raising two teenagers so we don't get out as much as we would like ,but thats life.
Lookig forward to meeting you all and learning from you guys.
I'm 39 and currently sport an Old Town guide 147.

Raising children is a Great life, there will be plenty of time later to enjoy all the canoeing you want...I miss the teenage years of my children, from busy busy busy to two old folks around a quiet dinner table. But quiet is good too in the later years.

It took my wife and I a while to get used to our empty nest after having raised three sons and a daughter. I while; but not too long.
Welcome to the group! I love the terrain in GA. I want to canoe the Okefenokee swamp one day. My Southern dream trip is to canoe the swamp and hop the sill into the Suwannee River and paddle down to the Gulf at Suwannee town in FL.
