I don't remember exactly what I was searching for, but I came across a bunch of videos, by some British guy, about paddling Gumotex inflatables.
Turns out that Gumotex is the largest manufacturer of inflatables in the world and hugely popular in the EU.
They make both inflatable kayaks and canoes.
I know you can get a Rush kayak, through Amazon, and it isn't cheap. Not sure how available other boats are.
Looks interesting.

Long, long ago we took something like these down the Hudson River Gorge. It handled well. I don’t know what happened to it.

Classic quality. Build to last. Not very light. Numerous expeditions in this world has used these. There is not much competition for them. 1 is grabner but these are triple the price.
Not sure who thinks the are the biggest of the world.. i think sevylor and intex sell a lot more, but those are gone in a couple of years.

Yes, numerous threads on songofthepaddle.com and the folks that paddle them seem to like them. I love the idea of a boat you can have in your vehicle "just in case"...or for ease of traveling. I wish I could try a variety of inflatables; this one seems tempting to me.

A guy in my club had one of the Travel Canoes and he said it wasn't very stable.
I'm sold on inflatable kayaks. There must be a good inflatable canoe out there.

I think it was Gumotex that said they were the biggest. Name recognition here may be very different from that in the rest of the world. We may have a distorted view. Hard to say, but Gumotex does seem to be pretty popular in Europe. Certainly lots of videos of their boats.
I always thought it was weird that Russian rockets looked so different from NASA rockets. I think the same sort of thing is at work with Gumotex. Their inflatables are different from anything made in the US. There is a lot of canal paddling in Europe. That might result in a different approach to inflatable design.

Those Gumotex boats look close enough to canoes for me. I'd be curious to know their "best use" and limitations (wind?). I assume they'd be sluggish compared to composite boats but that may be OK in a lot of situations.
