Essex Chain maps

Hi all,
Can anybody recommend a good site for maps of the Essex Chain of lakes in The Adirondacks? I'm starting to plan now for mid-May for a 3-4 day solo trip and was wond r ring what others have used. Thanks!

I have used CalTopo and Acme Mapper, as well as Bing for their excellent satellite images. All of those are free online.
Also, DEC has an excellent map here.

Try Saint Regis Canoe Outfitters in Saranac Lake, NY they are open all winter. Tell Sarah her dad says hi.

I also have a hand notated sketch map of the area waters, including most of the Cedar and Rock rivers.
I can send you a pdf version if you PM me your email address.
I would highly recommend the Chain Drain, there is a series of falls that drop about 60 feet to the Rock River. You are unlikely to see anyone else there.
I have a bunch of photos, somewhere...found them, this link should work.
