Not canoe related but I modified a shower/changing shelter to used when car camping. It houses a porta potty and can be used as a changing/shower tent. I added a gear loft with lamp to keep items dry while showering, a towel hanging rod, toilet paper holder, and for locations that do not allow gray water on the ground I can clip in a bathtub footprint with recovery system for the gray water.

For hot water I can use a portable propane tankless water heater if a water hydrant is available or I can use a 3 gallon pump pressure water tank if a hydrant is not available. The pressure water tank has a thermometer attached to the side so that I can fill it part way with cold water then add hot water from a kettle until the desired temperature is reached. I highlighted the preferred temperature in Red.

Wow!!
I have just used my biggest pot, full of heated water, a camp cup to dip out some water to pour over me to rinse off after soaping up. Maybe a dip in the lake or river before and/or after, depending on weather.
Your method is pretty neat, private, more likely to have a cleaner result too.

Good piece of gear for multi-day canoe trips run out of a car camp or other base camp.
