From US Composites, I bought 2 quarts of 2 lb urethane foam. It's supposed to make 2 cubic feet, which weigh 2 lbs per cubic foot. They make heavier density foam that has structural qualities, but this stuff is mostly for floatation or insulation.

Of the two quarts, I used approximately 1 cup. US Composites' info says it keeps at least 3 months. Given my frequency of use, I'm pretty sure I won't be using the rest of this.

If you have a project that will use this stuff up, reach out and I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping. There should be 7 cups remaining, enough for 1.75 cubic feet (more, I think, perhaps depends on temperature), which will float over 100 pounds.
