A great mother day weekend on the water!!

We spend the weekend, camping like wee do every mother day weekend, on the Takhini river, one of our local run and one of the first run we can do of the season. We had a great weekend with great weather other than the wind that was super strong on friday night and saturday...

The river was quite low, but passable every where. Almost no shelf ice to talk about where usually this time of the year there is 2 feet of it in some places.

Sophie(8yo) have the paddling in her blood, she is getting so good and so strong. It is a lot of fun!!

Great photos! Thanks for them. I've only been around mountains once in my life, long ago. I bet they get taken for granted a lot by the locals, kind of like a night sky in dark area. It is great to see them.

It cost nothing to travel up here... All access are free, territorial campground are cheep. And if you drive up here, then it is not more expensive than if you travel around your area... As for age, that is in your head
